Pellissippi State Men’s Soccer Kicks Off Season Against Ranked Patrick & Henry

Knoxville, TN - Heading into their regular season opener at full-throttle, the Panthers are opening against #17 Patrick & Henry at Knoxville Catholic High School on Thursday, August 22nd at 8:00 PM. 

Coming off of the impressive first year that the men's soccer team had last year, Coach Abe Tizaf is hoping to build on that success while also establishing a new identity with new players and contributors. Pellissippi is bringing back 14 players from last year's team that went 11-3-2 overall and is bringing in 18 new members to bolster the team's overall performance in hopes of making the postseason. The Panthers return players who contributed 21 goals last year, with 62 total goals scored, and return 19 assists as well. 

"This first game is our chance to fix what needs fixing and prepare for the road ahead. Let's start strong!" Said Coach Abe Tizaf.

Patrick & Henry come into the match ranked #17 and coming off of the 2023 campaign as back-to-back Region 10 champions and the 2023 Atlantic District champion.

Fans, Faculty, Staff, and Students are all encouraged to come support the Panthers as they kick off their 2024 season. Admission to all games is free of charge.
