Panthers defeat Chatt State Thanks to Fifth Set Rally

Knoxville, TN - The Pellissippi State Volleyball team has claimed their second victory of the year, and did so in dramatic fashion. A five-set thriller at the Student Rec Center on the Hardin Valley Campus had fans and players alike on their feet cheering the entire match. 

The Panthers and Tigers would each trade sets up until the final set, which was all tied up at the halfway break 7-7. The Panthers would go on to win the final set 17-15. 

Pellissippi State won the first set 25-19, the third set 25-21, and the fifth set 17-15. 

Chatt State won the second set 25-12 and the fourth set 25-13. 

This was the final conference game for the Panthers, who will finish the season with a conference record of 2-6, and will finish in 4th place. 

The Panthers have two games remaining, both against The University of The Cumberlands. The first of which will take place Thursday October 26th at 4:00 PM at the Student Rec Center on the Hardin Valley Campus. This game will also be Sophomore night for the Panthers.
