A four-year letterwinner between 2000-03 under legendary coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly, Stephanie Sayne, begins her first year with the Panthers, she prevously worked with the University of Tennessee Softball team as a Graduate Assistant, Volunteer Coach, and Director of Operations for the team through 2012.

The right-handed pitcher closed her college campaign in 2003 by sculpting an 18-5 mark in the circle and setting a then school-record 16-game winning streak between Feb. 8 and April 18. Twice chosen as the Southeastern Conferences Pitcher of the Week in 2003, Sayne concluded her career with 596 strikeouts, 10 saves, and two no-hitters. She is also top-10 in a plethra of other categories.

Sayne also has earned numerous awards including all-tourney honors, a two-time Academic All-District IV selection (2002, 2003) and four-time Academic All-SEC and NFCA Scholar-Athlete Team choice. She now gives pitching lessons in the Knoxville area. Sayne is married to fellow UT grad. Shannon Sayne, and has two sons, Syler(13), and Schuler(10). In her free time she enjoys watching her sons play sports and her husband coach wrestling at Halls High School.
