Men’s Soccer Earns First-Ever Conference Win in Explosive Fashion.

Knoxville, TN - Pellissippi Men's Soccer opens conference play with a lopsided 11-0 victory against Andrew College. 

After only being up 2-0 at the half, the Panthers exploded for a second-half route, tacking on an additional 9 goals through the last 45 minutes. 

Six total players scored in the match, with four Panthers adding multiple goals during the game, with newcomer Alejandro Mina compiling a hattrick in the first 55 minutes and starting the game off with a goal in the third minute on an assist from Mario Rivera.

Sadibou Seck compiled two goals in the match, with one in each half. His first came in the 33rd minute, and his second in the 57th minute, also with an assist from Mario Rivera. 

Leo Cruz scored next to make the game 5-0 in the 54th minute. Cruz's second goal of the match came in the 70th minute. 

Youssef El Hilaa scored unassisted in the 66th minute to make the score 7-0. El Hilaa also had two assists on the day. 

Dylan Lope was the next Panther to add his name to the scorebook with a goal in the 84th minute (assisted by Youssef)

Jacob Eubanks tacked on the final two scores of the game, one being a PK in the 86th minute and another goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Youssef. 

Overall the Panthers took 39 shots and only had three shots against. Lizandro Moradel, the starting goalkeeper, played for 65 minutes and had a save. Justin King subbed in for Lizandor and also had a save during the final 25 minutes. 

The Panthers are next in action against Oxford College of Emory University on September 7th at 8:00 PM, at Knoxville Catholic High School.
