Pellissippi State takes down Bryan College 2-0 in 4th shutout of the season
Dayton, TN -
A relentless effort by the Panthers for 90 minutes gave them the hard-earned victory on Tuesday night in Dayton as Pellissippi State improved to 7-2-2 overall and recorded their 4th shutout victory of the season.
The Panther's two goals came from Theo Ekaso - assisted by Amadou Benjamin, and Jacob Eubanks - assisted by Josh Beckles.
Coach Josh Scott gave his comments on the match postgame,
"I was pleased with the team's effort this evening, we rested some players and gave opportunities to certain individuals and I was very happy with the outcome. We still need to have more conviction in the final third, we are creating a lot of chances but we are not putting teams away early, this is our biggest challenge right now "
With five games remaining on the schedule, coach Scott feels like his team has really molded and come together as a complete unit; 'Overall, there were lots of positives and I'm delighted with the squad effort, these guys really come together like a family and how they support each other is amazing to see "
Next up for the Panthers is a matchup with Warren Wilson College this Saturday in North Carolina. The matchup is scheduled for 1:00.
