Raleigh, NC - Pellissippi State took the lead against Wake Tech in the 26th minute thanks to a terrific goal by Ruben Cardoza (assisted by Ben Schulz).
Wake Tech was gifted two penalty kicks in the match, which gave them both of their goals. The first came in the 44th minute, and the second in the 78th minute. Both kicks tied the game for the Eagles, eventually leading to the 2-2 tie. The Panthers got their second goal across in the 51st minute. Felipe Coehlo got the ball inside to Henry Lyon for the goal and for the 2-1 lead.
Coach Josh Scott was proud of his team's effort on Saturday, but wasn't content with the loss. "We did enough to win this game but unfortunately, our opponents were gifted two PKs," Scott said. "We played some great footy & displayed what we're all about. We will keep improving individually & collectively. This is such an exciting group of young men"
The Panther's next game comes on September 27th against Patrick & Henry at 4:00 PM.
