Men's and Women's Cross Country Take First at Maryville College
In a continuance of their dominant performances so far this season, the Pellissippi State Men's and Women's Cross Country teams swept the team titles at the Maryville College Invitational.
On the women's side, Chloe Hayes led the team with a third-place finish in the 6K (28:06.3). Jocelyn Chipoco-DeGrado followed closely, placing fourth. Brookelyn Housley, Ava Stewart, and Hadlee Presnell rounded out the team's top five, securing their first-place finish. Janna Evans finished off the running for the women's team with a strong performance of her own.
In the men's 8K, Stephen Scallion and Jamie Bell dominated, claiming the top two spots. Bryce Winkler and Casey Pribish added strong performances, as did Sachairi Barnett and Isaiah Spoon, ensuring the men's team also took first.
The Pellissippi State teams showcased depth and consistency, as both squads topped the leaderboard, demonstrating their preparation and determination this season. Pellissippi State also took first place overall in the men's 8k at the Maryville College Invite last year.
