Panthers Cross Country Claims Gold at Walters State Opener for Second Straight Year
Morristown, TN - The Pellissippi State Cross Country Teams have claimed gold for the second straight year at the Walters State Opener, winning the overall team titles in the men's and women's races, and first place overall in the men's and second place overall in the women's.
On the women's side, Chloe Hayes placed second overall in the 5K race at 24:46.4. Jocelyn Chipoco-DeGrado and Brookelyn Housley finished 3rd and 4th respectively, with times of 25:10.7 and 27.16.6. Ava Stewart finished 6th, and Hadllee Presnell finished 11th.
On the men's side, Stephen Scallion claimed gold and Jamie Bell claimed silver, finishing just 3.9 seconds apart with times of 18:21.0 and 8:24.9 respectively. Casey Pribish, Bryce Winkler, Connor Brock, Sachairi Barnett, and Isaiah Spoon finished 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 12th each.
