Cross Country 2024 Season Preview
After a strong 2023-24 season, Coach Emily Roy has the Panthers Cross Country and Half Marathon Teams roaring towards this upcoming season and ready to win more hardware.
Heading into year two, the goals remain the same, but with added meaning. Being able to compete in the postseason, the team is setting its sights on making noise after finishing at the top of the conference last year but not being able to win the accolades due to a first-year probationary period.
Last season, the Panthers received numerous conference and national recognitions. Jarek Morton, previously on the men's cross-country team, won NJCAA National Runner of The Week twice, while also finishing first in in numerous races.
Grace Adams, formerly on the women's cross-country team, also had high finishes last season and will now be running for UVA-Wise this fall.
