A Send-Off to Men's Soccer Sophomores
The inaugural group of Pellissippi State Men's Soccer Student-Athletes have left their mark on the program, and will be exemplary figures for the team moving forward. Head Coach Josh Scott had some words to share about these Sophomores who are moving on from his program:
"I'm so proud of Lawson, to come back to school after being away for a few years is brave, he has shown an amazing attitude and has always put the team first, he's been a great teammate and we are very grateful he chose Pellissippi State to continue his education". Lawson accumulated 2 goals and 2 assists for the Panthers this season.
"Ruben is a special player, not only is he a Knoxville lad with a great story, he has shown a level of commitment that will help him tremendously with moving on to a 4 year school, we are going to miss him, he's been an amazing member of this squad and he's one of the most natural talents I have ever coached, I am personally going to miss his quality". Ruben had 9 goals and 2 assists this season, including both goals on senior night to lift the Panthers over Johnson University 2-0.
"Amadou showed great determination to be part of this program from the very beginning, his passion and resilience to always keep bettering himself is going to set him up nicely for success after Pellissippi State, he's personable guy who is loved by many, no doubt we are going to miss him very much". Amadou was one of the captains for the team this season, cementing his legacy as a leader on and off the field.
This group of individuals have left their mark on the college and will always have a special place in Pellissippi State history. Congratulations, Panthers!
