Bio

Abe Tizaf is a distinguished soccer coach with several years of soccer coaching experience in both men's and women's soccer at the collegiate level. His expertise extends into sport management and physical education. Transitioning to Pellissippi State, Coach Abe's most recent role was as the Assistant Coach for the women's soccer team at Young Harris College (NCAA II) during the 2023-2024 academic year. This followed a notable tenure at Saint Mary of the Woods College, where from 2017 to 2022, he not only initiated the men's soccer program (NAIA) but also guided it to impressive accomplishments. Under his leadership, the team achieved national qualifications, and, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, Coach Abe was honored with the USCAA Coach of the Year Award in 2019.

Beyond the field, Abe has contributed significantly as an International Admission Counselor, where he played a pivotal role in the admission of international students at SMWC. His diverse coaching journey also includes leading the Terre Haute South High School boys’ soccer team to a sectional championship in 2015 with the most won games in the history of the program. Academically, Coach Abe's dedication to learning is evident in his multiple advanced degrees in Leadership Development, Physical Education - Coaching Soccer, and Recreation and Sport Management. 

Drawing from his professional playing career, where he participated in 120 games for KACM in Marrakech, Morocco, Abe infuses his coaching with real-world insights. He is also a member of the Faith-Based Coaches Strategy Team, emphasizing the integration of soccer with one's spiritual life.
